About Stephen Oliver
Stephen brings over 25 years experience in technology industries, predominantly the software industry in both software product and software services areas. He is a marketing, strategic planning and product development specialist. He has worked in 3 countries, undertaking research assignments across 4 continents, in companies ranging from 3 to over 30,000 employees, as well as having experience on the “bleeding edge” as an entrepreneur.
He previously worked for Microsoft for 8 years in a variety of product marketing, programme management and customer facing roles, including 2 years with Microsoft Research in Cambridge, and for 5 years with SEMA Group (now part of ATOS Origin). He has also worked more than 10 years as an independent management consultant focussing on business planning, market strategy and technology transfer. He has an MA in Law from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
